ASHLAND, Ohio –
Brandon Rogers ran one of the top times in the country in the 400 meters at the Ashland Open inside the Niss Athletic Center.
He shattered his own school record with a runner-up time of 46.48 seconds.
Schaeckenbach broke his own record in the 60 meter hurdles at 8.03 seconds for fifth place.
Calvin Speicher was sixth in 8.05. Both marks meet the NCAA Division II provisional standard.
Caleb Sultan, already an NCAA qualifier, won the 800 meters in 1:51.06 which is the third-fastest in program history.
The 4 x 400 meter relay team of Rogers,
David Gerdin,
Michael Braxton, and
Jeremy Johnson won in 3:12.35 – No. 2 on CU's list and a provisional qualifier.
In the field events,
Nate Raab was second in the long jump at 22-9.25 (6.94 meters) – No. 5 at Cedarville.
Josh Paul put together the third-best triple jump on the Jackets' Top 10 with a fourth-place showing of 46-8.25 (14.23m)
