ASHLAND, Ohio – Cedarville opened the G-MAC schedule with a pair of setbacks to Ashland at Archer Ballpark.
The Eagles, No. 2 in the conference preseason poll, won by scores of 13-3 and 8-5.
Cooper Martin went 3-for-4 in the first game while
Kaden Wilde had a pair of doubles with two runs batted in.
Grayson Weikel produced two hits including a double and
Chris Montes de Oca added two hits.
Ashland broke a 3-3 deadlock with four runs in the fifth inning of the seven-inning nightcap.
Grant Poindexter posted a pair of hits featuring a two-run homer. Wilde and
Eli Henderson contributed two hits apiece for the Yellow Jackets, 6-12 overall.
