VIRGINIA BEACH, Va. –
Matt Schaeckenbach earned All-America recognition in two events and
Brandon Rogers was honored in the 400 at the NCAA Division II Men's Indoor Track & Field Championship.
Schaeckenbach, a junior from Iowa City, Iowa, was on the podium in both the high jump and 60 meter hurdles.
He placed third in the high jump by clearing a school record 7-1.50 (2.17 meters) and he was eighth in the hurdles in 8.03 seconds.
His prelims time in the hurdles of 7.97 seconds ranks No. 3 at Cedarville.
Rogers was sixth in the 400 meters in 46.85 seconds which is the third-fastest time in program history. The Top 8 finishers in each event are All-Americans.
His prelims mark of 46.64 seconds is No. 2 all-time for the Yellow Jackets.
The 4 x 400 meter relay unit of Rogers,
David Gerdin,
Michael Braxton, and
Jeremy Johnson was tenth in 3:11.43 which is No. 4 at CU.
Caleb Sultan posted a time of 1:51.95 in the 800 prelims which is No. 8 on the Jackets' Top 10.
Calvin Speicher was timed in 8.14 seconds in the 60 meter hurdles prelims.
