AKRON, Ohio –
Eli Henderson and
Grayson Weikel homered and drove in four runs apiece to lead the Jackets to a 14-3 romp over Lake Erie.
The Storm averted a four-game series sweep by claiming the nightcap, 9-6.
In the opener, Henderson belted a two-run home run and delivered a two-run single. Weikel doubled in a run and hammered a three-run long ball.
Max Doepker added a solo shot for Cedarville while
Chris Montes de Oca supplied two hits and four runs scored.
The Jackets took advantage of ten walks and turned two double plays on the defensive side of the seven-inning contest.
Winning pitcher
Brody Adams, 2-3, tossed the first four innings and struck out four batters.
A five-run seventh inning carried Lake Erie in the second game.
Cooper Martin hit a two-run homer and had two hits for the Jackets, 11-13 overall and 5-3 G-MAC.
