CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Cedarville kicked off the outdoor slate by hosting the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open and taking second place.
Ashland was at the top of the 22-team table with 133 points. CU was next with 96 points and Wayne State MI was third with 75.50.
Freshman
Caroline Hamilton was the lone winner for the home side which came in the 5,000 meters (17:22.84).
Four other competitors were the runner-up in their respective events.
The quartet includes
Julie Tompkins in the 400 (58.20);
Audrianna Enns in the 1,500 (4:42.54);
Hannah Hartenburg in the 10K (38:00.17); and
Rebekah Brinser in the 400 hurdles (1:05.98).
Ruby Gross placed third in the 1,500 (4:44.0) and
Helen Rhymer finished third in the 10K (38:54.63).
