VIERA, Fla. – Freshman
Anna Gorshak crushed a pair of two-run homers to lead the Lady Jackets to a 6-3 win over Holy Family at the Space Coast Spring Games.
The performance gave Cedarville a split on the day after dropping a 9-3 result to Bemidji State.
Gorshak's first long ball gave the Jackets a 3-1 lead in the third inning. Her second home run in the fifth accounted for the final in providing a three-run cushion.
Anna Gardner totaled three hits including an RBI triple while
Anna Weathers added two hits featuring an RBI triple.
Maya Merrill, 2-4, went the distance in the circle striking out eight batters.
In the first game, Bemidji State scored in each of the first five innings and never trailed.
Macy Sidebottom went 3-for-3 with Gardner and
Lindsey Linker collecting two hits apiece.
