KNOXVILLE, Tenn. –
Brandon Rogers led a Cedarville contingent that set five school records and hit three NCAA provisional qualifying marks at the Tennessee Invite.
The junior from West Chester, Ohio was the runner-up in the 400 meters in 46.68 seconds – currently No. 8 in the country.
He also nipped the school record in the 200 meters with a time of 21.70 seconds.
Rogers led off the 4 x 400 meter relay team that placed second in 3:09.87 which took more than two seconds off the school record.
He was joined by
Jeremy Johnson,
Michael Braxton, and
Caleb Sultan with the foursome's time No. 8 in NCAA Division II.
Sultan snapped the school record in the 800 meters with a runner-up time of 1:49.56 which hit the NCAA DII provisional qualifying standard.
The other school record came from
Josh Paul in the triple jump. He placed sixth with a mark of 48-8.25 (14.84 meters).
Tanner Muhlenkamp posted an effort of 10.65 seconds in the 100 meters – the second-fastest time ever run by a Yellow Jacket.
Cedarville also had select athletes competing at the Asbury Invitational (
TFRRS RESULTS) and Lee Invitational (
TFRRS RESULTS).
