TFRRS RESULTS | OTTERBEIN | VIRGINIA
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Yellow Jackets set three school records with performances at the Virginia Challenge and Otterbein Twilight.
VIRGINIA CHALLENGE
Brandon Rogers (400) and
Caleb Sultan (800) broke their own records that they set just a week earlier at Tennessee.
Rogers finished fourth in the 400 meters in 46.64 seconds which is currently tied for tenth in the country.
Sultan was timed at 1:49.37 in the 800 which is also an NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark.
Jeremy Johnson was eighth in the 400 in 47.59 seconds which rates No. 4 all-time at Cedarville.
Johnson, Rogers, Sultan, and
Michael Braxton won the 4 x 400 relay in 3:10.28 which is No. 2 in program history.
Evan Meisberger was tenth in the 400 hurdles (53.06) which rates No. 10 at CU.
Josh Paul went 47-7.75 (14.52 meters) in the triple jump – No. 6 on the Jackets' Top 10.
OTTERBEIN TWILIGHT
The sprinters took center stage at Otterbein with
Kervens Lennon and
Nate Raab both breaking the school record in the 100 meters at 10.60 seconds.
Matt Schaeckenbach won the high jump by clearing 6-11.50 (2.12m) which ties for second in program history.
Joey Merrill's win in the mile (4:16.41) is the third-best time ever run by a Yellow Jacket.
Cedarville was third in the 23-team meet with 84 points. Ashland (114) won the team title and Mount Union (101) was the runner-up.
