CEDARVILLE, Ohio — The Lady Jackets wrapped up their home schedule on Senior Day, dropping a G-MAC doubleheader to Findlay by scores of 8-6 and 1-0 at Yellow Jacket Field.
In Game 1, Cedarville rallied with four runs in the sixth inning to take a 6-5 lead. The surge included RBI efforts from
Macy Sidebottom,
Anna Gardner, and
Anna Gorshak, along with a go-ahead run scoring on an error.
Gardner led the offense with two hits and two RBI, while Gorshak also recorded a pair of hits. Despite outhitting Findlay 9-7, the Lady Jackets were unable to hold the lead as the visitors scored three runs in the seventh inning to pull out the win.
Game 2 turned into a pitchers' duel, with
Chesnie Patton delivering a complete-game performance. Cedarville was limited to four hits, with
Anna Gardner,
Anna Gorshak,
Macy Sidebottom, and Patton each recording one.
Findlay pushed across the only run in the second inning for a 1-0 decision, causing the Lady Jackets to fall to 17-31 overall and 9-13 in the G-MAC.
