Jeremy Johnson is NCCAA Athlete of the Week

CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville sprinter Jeremy Johnson has been selected the NCCAA Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Week.

The sophomore from Warsaw, Indiana was part of the 4 x 400 meter relay team that broke the school record with a winning time of 3:14.19 at the Ashland Invitational.

The foursome also met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying mark and currently ranks No. 8 in the country.

Johnson was the runner-up in the 400 meters with a provisional qualifying time of 48.45 seconds on AU's 300 meter track.

It's the fastest time in the event by a Yellow Jacket but not the school record after conversion to the 200 meter standard which is still held by Ryan Rager (49.02).
