CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ricardo Alliman exploded for 24 points and 10 rebounds to lead the NAIA Division II #12 Yellow Jackets to an 86-74 win over Daemen in an American Mideast Conference battle played in the Callan Athletic Center.
Cedarville, 10-6 overall and 2-1 AMC, needed to recover from a modest deficit and then pull away in the second half to notch the victory. The visiting Wildcats held a 31-23 lead with 7:20 left in the opening frame, but a 13-2 spurt helped the Jackets to a one-point halftime edge.
A barrage of four three-pointers sparked CU to a 63-51 margin eight minutes into the second half. The Jackets hit 7-of-12 from long range in the final 20 minutes and built the lead to as large as 80-63.
Chris Beals totaled 19 points and four assists. Matt Harner was 4-of-6 from deep for 12 points while Derrick Hannon dished out a game-high six assists. Daemen is 11-7 and 3-2 AMC. [STATS]
