CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Ricardo Alliman racked up 21 points and 15 rebounds to lead the NAIA Division II #8 Yellow Jackets to a convincing 97-75 victory over Urbana in a non-conference game staged in the Callan Athletic Center.
Cedarville had its hands full with the Blue Knights for much of the first half. However, a 14-4 spurt to finish the frame resulted in a 47-32 margin at the break. That is as close as Urbana would be for the rest of the contest.
Chris Beals, who netted 15 points, opened the second period with a three-pointer. The difference was 20 midway through the half and inflated to 88-58 at the 4:25 mark.
The Yellow Jackets, 9-5 overall, shot 56 percent from the field in the second half and 54 percent for the game. They also overcame their recent struggles from outside the arc by hitting 9-of-16 three-pointers.
Austin Foote came off the bench with 15 points. Christopher Walker had 11 points with Matt Harner chipping in 10. CU enjoyed a 52-33 rebounding edge over Urbana, who drops to 8-8. [STATS]
