MARION, Ind. - Evan Thayer and Sammy Starr set school records to lead Cedarville's performance at the Indiana Wesleyan Invitational.
Thayer won the 1,000 meters in 2:28.99. His effort also met the NAIA automatic qualifying standard.
Starr broke the record in the 200 meter dash with a 4th-place time of 22.96 seconds. He nipped the previous mark of 23.0 set just a week ago by freshman Mark Farris.
Justin Hoffman won the 60 meter hurdles in 8.36 seconds. He has already qualified for the NAIA in the event.
Aaron Lane was a winner in the long jump with a leap of 22-feet 4.25-inches. Jordan Davies was a runner-up in the 1,000 in 2:36.02. The meet was non-scoring. [COMPLETE RESULTS]
