PORTSMOUTH, Ohio - The NAIA Division II #16 Yellow Jackets will take a six-game winning streak into the post-season after defeating Shawnee State, 74-60, in an American Mideast Conference game.

Matt Harner scored all of his team-high 17 points in the second half as Cedarville was finally able to pull away from the host Bears. The Yellow Jackets outscored SSU 22-8 down the stretch to win their 12th straight AMC decision.

Trailing 53-52 with 8:25 to go, Derrick Hannon scored on a lay-up to give CU the lead for good. A three-pointer by Harner started a 10-2 spurt that eventually broke the game open. The Jackets scored the game's final six points from the charity stripe with the 14-point final being the largest lead.

Austin Foote came off the bench with 16 points while Ricardo Alliman added 13 points and 11 rebounds. Hannon and Chris Beals supplied 10 points apiece.

Cedarville, 22-8 overall and 14-2 AMC, won 12 of its last 13 games overall. The Yellow Jackets host a first-round game in the AMC Tournament on Tuesday. [STATS]
