CHARLESTON, W.Va. - NCAA Division II Charleston defeated the Yellow Jackets, 7-2, in a non-conference match that was much closer than the final score indicates.
The Golden Eagles opened by sweeping the three doubles matches by scores of 8-5, 8-6, and 9-7. It was on to singles where five of the six contests needed three sets to decide with Charleston winning three of them.
Ironically, the player that dropped the first set in all five of the three-set singles matches came back to pull out the victory.
Dan Adriansen rallied for the win at #3 singles, 3-6, 6-4, 7-6 (6). Cedarville's other point came from #6 Kyle Kirby, 1-6, 6-3, 6-3.
The Yellow Jackets are 3-9 on the season while Charleston improved to 10-1. [RESULTS]
