CLEARWATER, Fla. - Winning pitcher Cullen Montgomery worked eight-plus innings and Michael Roe delivered a key pinch hit to spark the Yellow Jackets to a 5-3 victory over Upper Iowa in the Clearwater Invitational.

Montgomery allowed three unearned runs on just two hits in 8 2/3 innings to get the win. He struck out seven batters. Rob Wasem came on to register the final out for the save.

Cedarville scored three runs in the 7th inning. The big blow was Roe's pinch hit two-run double.

Paul Hembekides was 2-for-3 at the plate with an RBI for the Yellow Jackets, 6-3 overall. Nate Davenport and #Juan Martinez, Jr.# were each 2-for-4 with an RBI.
