AZUSA, Calif. -
Kayla Casaletto,
Christy Jesson, and
Alaina Spears all turned in career-best performances in the 5,000 meters at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational.
There were 239 competitors scattered across eight heats in the women's 5K.
Spears finished third in her heat in 17:28.18 which is the 8th-fastest time in Lady Jacket history.
Casaletto, running in the same heat as Spears, was right behind in fourth position in 17:33.05.
Jesson, who was participating in her home state, placed 13th at 17:31.08 in a heat separate from her teammates.
