TORRANCE, Calif. -
Carsyn Koch met the NCAA Division II automatic qualifying standard in the 800 meters with her performance at the Mt. SAC Relays.
The native of Washburn, Maine, was clocked in 2:06.36 which is the second-fastest DII time in the country this spring.
She is the defending national champion in the event and owns the fastest 800 time in Division II history of 2:02.39 set last year at the Stanford University Payton Jordan Invitational.
Koch ran at Mt. SAC less than 24 hours after running the fastest 1,500 meters in DII this season at the Azusa Pacific Bryan Clay Invitational.
She blistered the track in 4:12.19 to cut more than 12 seconds off of her school record while also setting new stadium and invitational marks.
