ASHLAND, Ohio - Cedarville won the distance medley relay for the third straight time and placed fifth as a team in the G-MAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Championship at the Niss Athletic Center.
Host Ashland claimed the overall trophy with 148.5 points and was followed by Findlay (140), Hillsdale (117), Tiffin (76.5), and Cedarville (74).
The Jackets retained the distance medley relay crown with a winning time of 11:47.20.
The foursome of
Emily Walsh,
Sydney Diedrich,
Audrianna Enns, and
Savannah Ackley posted the sixth-best time in school history.
CU racked up 19 points in the 3,000 meters with Ackley the runner-up (9:57.96) and
Corinne Lynch third (10:03.27).
Lynch was second in the 5K (17:24.10) and
Naomi Herman placed third (17:30.15).
Alexandra Brizzi finished third in the 200 meters in a school-record time of 24.39 seconds.
Her mark of 24.58 seconds in the prelims is No. 2 on the Jackets' all-time list.
