CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The 4 x 100 meter relay foursome set the school record for the second straight week to highlight Cedarville's performance in the Yellow Jacket Collegiate Open.
Kiersten Franklin tied the school record in the 100 meter dash with a winning time of 11.78 seconds to meet the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
She also took first in the 200 meters in 24.33 seconds - No. 2 on the Lady Jackets' all-time list.
Franklin teamed up with
Alexandra Brizzi,
Mallory Gasper, and
Nora Hagan for a win in the 4 x 100 with a record time of 46.57 seconds to hit the NCAA provisional mark.
Other wins on the track were posted by
Emily Walsh in the 800 (2:19.07),
Abby Drosdak in the 10K (38:37.21), and
Caroline Schaeckenbach in the 400 hurdles (1:06.74).
Haleigh Eckert won the pole vault by clearing 12-4.50 (3.77 meters) with the competition moved inside the Doden Field House because of inclement weather.
Johanna Zilla was first in the hammer with a heave of 156-11 (47.82m).
Wayne State claimed the team title with 206 points with Cedarville the runner-up at 141. Bellarmine was third with 84 points.
