CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – The Lady Jackets mustered four hits in a pair of shutout setbacks at the Chattanooga Invitational.
Illinois Springfield blanked Cedarville, 4-0, in the opener.
Anna Gorshak had two of the Lady Jacket hits and
Anna Weathers added the other.
McKendree used a pair of six-run innings to deflate Cedarville, 12-0, in the finale.
The Bearcats' big innings were the first and third in a contest halted after five innings by the eight-run mercy rule.
Gorshak singled in the fourth inning for the only hit by the Lady Jackets.
CU returns to action on February 13-14 with four games at UVA Wise.
