CEDARVILLE, Ohio –
Anna Gorshak homered and
Chesnie Patton tossed a complete game to propel the Lady Jackets to an 8-0 G-MAC win over Thomas More.
The Saints held on for a 3-1 result in the first game which was the G-MAC opener for both schools.
Patton, 5-4, fired a three-hitter with two strikeouts and Gorshak lofted her fifth home run to fuel a six-run fourth inning in the second contest.
Macy Sidebottom had two hits including a three-run triple for Cedarville, 9-15 overall.
Anna Gardner,
Brynley Rung, and
Anna Weathers contributed two hits apiece.
The Jackets were stymied in the first game in getting their only run in the bottom of the seventh inning on Gardner's RBI double.
She totaled two hits along as did Rung and
Camryn Taktak.
