Lady Jackets walk it off twice in Florida

VIERA, Fla. – Cedarville grabbed back-to-back victories in their final at bat against No. 15 Saginaw Valley State and West Virginia Wesleyan at the Space Coast Spring Games.
 
Anna Gardner belted a two-run homer in the ninth inning to stun SVSU, 6-4.
 
Camryn Taktak's sacrifice fly in the bottom of the seventh vs. WVWC scored Jordan Berry for a 3-2 win.
 
CU and Saginaw Valley State went into extras tied 4-4 using the international tiebreaker. Pinch runner Emma Weaver was placed on second and moved to third on a Macy Sidebottom sacrifice.
 
Gardner hammered the first pitch she saw deep to left field for the winner. Sidebottom had two hits including a three-run triple.
 
Winning pitcher Maya Merrill, 1-4, tossed the final four innings to get her first win of the spring.
 
In the second game, Berry led off the bottom of the seventh with a single and moved up on an error. Brynley Rung had a bunt single setting up the winning sac fly.
 
Berry and Rung tallied two hits apiece for the Jackets, 3-11. Reliever Chesnie Patton, 2-2, pitched two hitless innings for the victory.
