CEDARVILLE, Ohio –
Anna Gorshak belted her school record 10th home run and drove in eight runs total to spark the Lady Jackets to a pair of wins over Lake Erie.
Cedarville swept the Storm by scores of 7-6 and 10-2 in five innings.
Gorshak delivered a two-run double plus a two-run single in the first game to help the home team rally from a 4-0 deficit.
The freshman from Georgetown, Ky. had three of the team's six hits.
Jordan Berry doubled and scored twice.
Kara Adkins, 1-2, got the win in relief and
Emma Wylie pitched the seventh inning for the save.
In the nightcap, Gorshak hammered a three-run bomb to break Nicole Davis' single-season home run record set in 2015. She finished with two hits and four RBI.
Macy Sidebottom went 4-for-4 with three runs batted in and
Anna Gardner totaled three hits.
Chesnie Patton, 6-8, allowed two unearned runs on two hits with two strikeouts for Cedarville, 12-24 overall and 4-6 G-MAC.
