Lady Jackets drop twinbill to West Virginia State

CEDARVILLE, Ohio – Offense was at a premium, but West Virginia State left Cedarville with a pair of non-conference softball victories.
 
The visiting Yellow Jackets were 5-3 and 3-2 winners.
 
CU managed just three hits in the first game and all three runs were unearned including a pair on RBI groundouts.
 
Anna Gorshak doubled and Anna Weathers singled home a run. Anna Gardner had the other base hit.
 
Each side totaled five hits in the second contest. Chesnie Patton and Camryn Taktak hammered doubles for Cedarville, 10-24 overall.
