DANVILLE, Ky. - Doubles was the difference as the Yellow Jackets lost a pair of chilly non-conference matches to Cumberlands (Ky.), 5-4, and to host Centre, 6-3.

Cedarville could only muster one doubles victory in six tries on the day and that came in the opener against Cumberlands. The #3 tandem of Kyle DeBoer and Kyle Kirby pulled out a 9-8 decision.

The Jackets split the six singles matches. The winners were #3 Dan Adriansen (6-0, 6-2), #5 Kirby (6-3, 7-6), and #6 Caleb Speicher (7-5, 6-3). [CUMBERLANDS RESULTS]

In the second match, Centre swept all three doubles matches to take command. Adriansen won again at the #3 singles spot, 6-4, 6-1. Other points came from #5 Zach Rost, 6-2, 6-0, and #6 Quinton Paul, 6-3, 6-1. [CENTRE RESULTS]
