SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - A rugged Cedarville men's tennis season closed out on a positive note with a 6-3 victory against Huntington in a non-conference match played indoors at the Springfield Racquet Club.
The outcome halted a six-match losing streak for the Yellow Jackets, who finish 5-16 overall. They were sparked by sweeping the three doubles matches for only the second time this season.
The #2 tandem of Bobby Eberhard and Kyle DeBoer had the easiest time with an 8-1 win. The other pairings, #1 Aaron Niemiec and Caleb Speicher as well as #3 Kyle Kirby and Zach Rost, both won by identical 8-5 scores.
Eberhard was a 6-1, 6-3 winner at #2 singles. The other points came from #5 Speicher, 6-1, 6-3, and #6 Kirby, 6-0, 6-0. [RESULTS]
