UPLAND, Ind. - Justin Hoffman ran to victory in the 110 meter and 400 meter hurdles to lead Cedarville to a third-place finish at the NCCAA Outdoor Championship hosted by Taylor University.
Hoffman won the 110 meter hurdles in 14.68 seconds and crossed the line first in the 400 meter hurdles in 52.72. Hoffman joined Michael Beight, Sammy Starr, and Brandon Tress to win the 4 x 400 meter relay in 3:16.77.
Sam LeMaster was the runner-up in the shot put with a heave of 49-feet 2.50-inches and Evan Thayer was 2nd in the 1,500 meters in 4:00.68. Tress was 3rd in the 400 meter hurdles (55.35) and Greg Hannay took 3rd in the javelin (178-3).
The 4 x 100 meter relay unit was the runner-up in 41.76 seconds. The foursome consisted of Beight, Starr, Mark Farris, and Marcus Benjamin. The top three places in each event are All-Americans.
Malone won the 16-team meet with 170.50 points. Bethel was next with 162.50 points and Cedarville was 3rd with 109.
