OXFORD, Ohio - Matt Brooker made his Cedarville debut with an 8th-place finish and the NAIA #22 Yellow Jackets began the 2010 season as the runner-up at the Miami Invitational.
Brooker, a transfer from NCAA Division I Bucknell, covered the 8,000 meters in 25:51. Evan Thayer placed 10th in 26:03.
#T.J. Badertscher# was 12th in 26:21. He was closely followed by Jordan Davies (13th; 26:27) and Ryan Gustafson (14th; 26:28). Closing out the Yellow Jackets' top seven were Josiah Bragg (16th; 26:31) and Chris Vaughn (18th; 26:40).
The host RedHawks won the four-team meet with 18 points while CU tallied 52. Evansville had 73 points and Urbana was at 120.
