CLEARWATER, Fla. - Logan Kasabian fired a complete-game three-hitter to lead Cedarville to an 8-2 decision against Lock Haven and a sweep of its doubleheader on the final day of the Clearwater Invitational.
Kasabian allowed two unearned runs while striking out two batters. The Yellow Jackets provided the sophomore righthander a boost by scoring four runs in the 5th inning to break a 2-2 tie.
Nate Davenport closed out a big week with two more hits including a double with three RBI's and a run scored. Tyler Rost added two hits and three runs while Dan Petke and Andrew York contributed a hit and two RBI's apiece.
In the opener, Cameron McWilliams delivered a two-out run-scoring double in the bottom of the 7th inning for a 6-5 victory over the Bald Eagles. It was his second hit in the game in which CU rallied for two runs in the inning to steal the win.
Alex Beelen was 4-for-4 with a double, two runs scored, and an RBI. Andrew York was 2-for-4 with a run and an RBI.
Winning pitcher Michael Roe tossed a complete game. He allowed six hits and struck out five.
