CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cullen Montgomery tossed a five-inning perfect game and Michael Roe followed with a one-hitter as Cedarville overwhelmed Miami-Middletown in back-to-back 10-0 verdicts.
Montgomery retired all 15 batters he faced in the opener which was halted in the 5th inning by the 10-run mercy rule. He struck out six while improving his record to 4-0.
Cameron McWilliams was 3-for-3 with two runs scored to pace a 12-hit attack. Tyler Rost was 2-for-3 with three RBI's; Andrew York added two hits including a double and two RBI's; and Dan Petke produced two hits.
Roe gave up a two-out 3rd-inning single as the only hit for the Thunderhawks in the nightcap. He moved his record to 4-0 with six strikeouts and a pair of walks.
Paul Hembekides stroked a two-run single to get the scoring started in an eight-run 3rd inning. Nate Davenport drilled a three-run home run for his fourth roundtripper of the season.
Rob Nesteroff had two hits including a double while Rost stole a base and scored twice. The Yellow Jackets improved to 15-6 overall.
