ALLENDALE, Mich. - The foursome of
Olivia Esbenshade,
Carsyn Koch,
Olivia Kundo, and
Lyndsey Smith won the distance medley relay at the GVSU Big Meet in record-setting fashion.
The group turned in a time of 11:29.57 to post the #2 mark in NCAA Division II this winter and meet the automatic qualifying standard for the national meet.
Additionally, they broke the school record by more than 15 seconds. They also set new records for the meet as well as the Kelly Family Sports Center.
Smith placed 5th in the 200 meters in 25:57 seconds which rates #5 all-time at Cedarville.
Carly Rose was 3rd in the 800 meters in 2:16.77 and
Tiera Martinelli was 3rd in the pole vault at 11-2.25 (3.41 meters).
Kacy Dunn ran to a 6th-place showing in the mile in 5:07.58.
The Lady Jackets finished 7th in the team standings among 31 schools that scored.
