Morgan Arbogast fired her second straight complete-game shutout as Cedarville opened The Spring Games with a 5-0 win over Concordia-St. Paul.
The Lady Jackets dropped a 6-1 decision to Nova Southeastern in the second game of the day.
Arbogast, 2-1, scattered ten hits. She struck out four batters and walked one.
Cedarville totaled ten hits in the game - all singles.
Jessica Steger,
Kaitlyn Woerner, and
Danielle Wolgamot had two hits each.
Nova Southeastern took control of the second contest with a three-run fourth inning to build a 4-0 lead.
The Lady Jackets, 3-3, tallied five hits total. Woerner and
Kara Eiginger both doubled.
Stinger Notes:
- Hannah Lord and Sarah Parsons each stole a base vs. Concordia-St. Paul.
- The two teams in the first game combined for 20 hits and only one went for extra bases - a triple by the Bears.
- Nova had just seven hits, but they included two doubles and a triple.
