Box Score 2 CLERMONT, Fla. - Grand Valley State and NFCA No. 8 Saint Leo hung losses on the Lady Jackets in a pair contests played in The Spring Games at Hancock Park.
GVSU blanked Cedarville, 4-0, while Saint Leo rolled to a 14-1 verdict in six innings.
The Jackets were checked on three hits in the opener.
Danielle Wolgamot doubled while
Danae Fields and
Sarah Parsons added singles.
The Lakers broke up a scoreless duel with a run in the fourth inning before adding three more in the fifth.
Saint Leo pounded out 19 hits including a pair of home runs in the second contest.
Cedarville, 6-6 overall, was limited to three hits. Parsons had two of them with
Kara Eiginger adding another.
Stinger Notes:
- After struggling with just one hit through the first eight contests, Parsons is on a four-game hitting streak.
- GVSU knocked off previously unbeaten and No. 1 ranked Minnesota State, 6-1, on Sunday.
- Cedarville has played three games against ranked teams: Southern Indiana twice and Saint Leo.
