Box Score 2 CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville shut down a seventh-inning rally by Ursuline and came away with a pair of one-run G-MAC doubleheader victories.
The Lady Jackets walked off with a 2-1 decision in the opener and then held on for a 4-3 win in game two.
Cedarville, 26-14 overall and 15-3 G-MAC, took a 4-1 lead into the seventh inning of the nightcap. The Arrows scored twice and had two runners on base with no outs to make it interesting.
A sacrifice moved the runners up to second and third. Reliever
Danielle Wolgamot got a strikeout and fly out to end the contest.
Sarah Parson was 3-for-3 with a double, a triple, and three RBI's.
Morgan Arbogast added two hits including a double and
Danae Fields singled in a run.
Kacey Smith, 8-3, pitched the first four innings and Wolgamot covered the last three in picking up her second save.
Kaitlyn Woerner's one-out single scored Parsons in the bottom of the seventh to win the first game. Parsons opened the frame with a double and moved to third on a sacrifice by Fields.
Arbogast, 9-7, went the distance inside the circle. She gave up just two hits and matched her season-high of ten strikeouts.
