SPRINGFIELD, Ohio - The Lady Jackets began the indoor season at the Wittenberg Opener winning seven events, establishing three program Top 10's, and one athlete hitting the NCAA provisional qualifying standard.
Haleigh Eckert won the pole vault by clearing 12-3.50 (3.75 meters) to tie the tenth-best mark in program history. She's also an NCAA provisional qualifier.
Emma Bailey uncorked the program's third-best shot put effort at 41-10.50 (12.76m) to take first place.
Freshman sprinter
Kiersten Franklin was a double winner in the 200 meters (25.63) and 400 (58.36).
Other winners were
Sydney Diedrich in the 800 (2:19.0),
Britain Musick in the 60 meter hurdles (9.23), and
Sarah Himes in the weight throw (48-2.75; 14.70m).
Nora Hagan was the runner-up in the 60 meter dash at 7.67 seconds tying the third-fastest time on CU's all-time list.
