CEDARVILLE, Ohio -
Evan Leist finished sixth overall and host Cedarville placed fifth in the All-Ohio Championship which was staged under the lights at the Elvin R. King Cross Country Course.
Leist toured the 8,000 meter track in 24:33.9.
Cooper Peterson was tenth in 24:41.5.
Ethan Wallis came in 25th in 25:12.8 with
J.J. Varner 45th in 25:31.8 for CU, currently ranked No. 27 in the USTFCCCA Division II poll.
Also scoring for the Yellow Jackets were
Trevor Cross (65th; 26:00.4),
Aidan Peterson (70th; 26:02.4), and
Braedon Killion (73rd; 26:04.2).
Isaiah Kelly, one of CU's top runners, started but was forced to drop out midway through the race.
G-MAC member Walsh was the overall champion with 61 points with Dayton as the runner-up with 88.
Otterbein (96), Findlay (131), and Cedarville (132) completed the top five in the 29-team event.
