DANVILLE, Ky. - The Lady Jackets claimed seven events, two by
Kiersten Franklin, and won the team title at the Centre Invite with four other runners posting a solid showing in the 5K at the Cincinnati Invitational.
Cedarville's 151 points were more than enough to beat 19 other schools at Centre. The host Colonels were the runner-up (93) and Berry (78) was third.
Franklin posted individual victories in the 200 meters (26.09) and 400 (58.73).
The 4 x 400 meter relay squad of
Reghan Mulder,
Sydney Diedrich,
Martha Bergley, and
Jessica Ferguson registered a winning time of 4:13.79.
Nora Hagan sprinted to a win in the 100 meter dash in 12.26 seconds. Other track winners were
Audrianna Enns in the 800 (2:17.98) and
Madeline Spaulding in the 1,500 (4:55.42).
In the field events,
Hannah Willow took first in the high jump by clearing 5-5.75 (1.67 meters).
Haleigh Eckert was the runner-up in the pole vault at 12-1.50 (3.70) which ties the fifth-best mark in program history.
At Cincinnati, four Lady Jackets placed in the top ten of the 5,000 meters with the Ackley sisters meeting the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
Alayna Ackley finished second in 17:04.81 with
Savannah Ackley, third (17:05.42),
Bethany Sholl, fifth (17:11.77), and
Naomi Herman, tenth (17:44.82).
Alayna Ackley's mark is No. 4 on CU's all-time list,
Savannah Ackley is No. 5, and Sholl is No. 8.
