WESTERVILLE, Ohio - Cedarville claimed the team title at the Otterbein Twilight Invitational on a weekend in which the Lady Jackets sent representatives to three separate meets.
CU totaled 129.5 points to take the top spot among 19 schools at Otterbein while Ohio Wesleyan was the runner-up with 115 points.
Caroline Schaeckenbach placed first in the 400 meter hurdles (1:07.14) as one of three individual winners. The others were
Becky Madsen in the 5K (17:49.65) and
Hannah Willow in the high jump (5-2.25; 1.58 meters).
The 4 x 400 meter relay unit of
Jessica Ferguson,
Kiersten Franklin,
Martha Bergley, and
Sydney Diedrich won in 4:10.44.
The 4 x 100 meter squad was second with the fourth-fastest time in school history at 48.70 seconds. The foursome included Ferguson, Franklin,
Bryn Mozzi,
Alexandra Brizzi.
Haleigh Eckert's runner-up showing in the pole vault (12-2.75; 3.73m) is No. 2 on the program's all-time list.
At the Virginia Challenge,
Bethany Sholl placed 10th in the 10,000 meters (35:58.28) and
Alayna Ackley was 11th (36:11.44).
Savannah Ackley finished 15th in the 5K Invite in 17:16.84.
At the Ohio State Jesse Owens Classic, Willow was seventh in the high jump (5-3; 1.60m) and Eckert placed tenth in the pole vault (12-0.75; 3.68m) which was staged indoors.
Audrianna Enns came in eighth in the 1,500 (4:36.80) and
Sarah Hannay finished 19th in the discus (131-9; 40.16m).
