Cedarville University Men's Cross Country is excited to announce the addition of seven talented freshmen who will join the program this fall.
Andrew Bruckart
Hailing from nearby Xenia, Ohio and Bellbrook High School, Bruckart comes in with strong middle distance credentials. His personal bests include 4:24.45 in the mile, 1:54.38 in the 800 meters, and 16:21 in the 5K cross country. He was a 2025 regional track qualifier and finished sixth in the 800 meters.
Jonathan Christopher
A standout from Alexandria, Ky. and Campbell County High School, Christopher owns a 5K cross country best of 15:25. On the track, he has clocked 4:28 in the 1600 and 9:27 in the 3200. He was named to the 2024 Kentucky All-State Cross Country team after placing 14th at the state meet and also earned Top 10 finishes at the Kentucky indoor and outdoor state meets in the 3200.
Nathan Hartenburg
From Stow-Munroe Falls High School in Stow, Ohio, Hartenburg brings significant depth to the class. His bests include 4:24 in the 1600, 9:22 in the 3200, 15:35 in the XC 5K, and 15:28 in the 5K on the track. He placed 27th at the 2024 OHSAA Cross Country Championship and 12th at the Ohio indoor state meet. Nathan's older sister, Hannah, enters her senior year as a Lady Jacket distance runner.
Grant Jones
Coming from Oak Park, Calif., Jones is no stranger to top-level competition. He holds personal bests of 4:12 in the 1600, 9:27 in the 3200, 1:56 in the 800, and an impressive 15:04 in the XC 5K. Jones finished fourth in the 1600 at the CIF Southern Section Finals in 2025. Notably, his parents, David and Carole, are Cedarville alumni.
Ezekiel Rice
Rice joins the team from Bloomington, Ill. and Normal Community West High School. His personal bests include 9:36 in the 3200, 4:33 in the 1600, and 2:03 in the 800. He competed at the 2024 Illinois High School Cross Country State Championship finishing 97th.
Jeremy Snyder
A strong addition from Westlake, Ohio, Snyder brings multiple strong performances to the program. He has recorded 4:18 in the 1600, 9:25 in the 3200, 15:34 in the XC 5K, and 2:03 in the 800. Snyder qualified for the 2024 OHSAA State Cross Country Championship and placed seventh in the 2025 Ohio D2 indoor track state meet.
Iain Tuinstra
Local recruit Tuinstra arrives from Beavercreek, Ohio and Beavercreek High School. His personal bests include 9:48 in the 3200, 4:34 in the 1600, and 16:28 in the XC 5K. He was part of a Beavercreek team that finished fifth at the 2024 OHSAA State Cross Country Championship. Both of Tuinstra's parents, Timothy and Kelly, are Cedarville alumni and his mother is a former Lady Jacket distance runner.
