FINDLAY, Ohio - Justin Hoffman won the 60 meter hurdles and was part of the 4 x 400 meter relay team set a new school record at the Findlay Division II Challenge.
Athletes had to meet qualifying standards to even compete in the meet and Hoffman's winning time was 8.21 seconds. He had already qualified for the NAIA Indoor Championship in the 60 meter hurdles earlier in the season.
The 4 x 400 relay unit of Hoffman, Brandon Tress, Michael Beight, and Sammy Starr was 3rd in 3:23.87. Their effort took 0.53 seconds off the previous school mark set in 1999.
#T.J. Badertscher# was an NAIA automatic qualifier in the 5,000 meters with his 3rd-place time of 15:06.42. Starr was 8th in the 400 meter dash in 50.67 seconds, Chris Vaughn placed 9th in the 3,000 meters in 8:48.02, and Jordan Davies was 10th in the mile in 4:29.32.
Cedarville finished 12th of 20 teams with 23 points. Lincoln (Mo.) was the team champion. [COMPLETE RESULTS]
