CEDARVILLE, Ohio - Track Athlete of the Year Carsyn Koch set three meet records to lead Cedarville to its third consecutive G-MAC Women's Outdoor Track & Field Championship.

Koch, a junior from Washburn, Maine, took first place in the 400 meters (56.79), 800 (2:12.94), and 1,500 (4:35.43).

Jeff Bolender was tabbed G-MAC Coach of the Year after the Lady Jackets totaled 219 points. Malone was the runner-up at 196 and Ursuline was next in the eight-team field with 175 points.

Courtney Kohler set another meet record with her victory in the javelin. She unloaded a throw of 123-7 (37.68 meters). Kayla Casaletto won the 5,000 meters in 18:01.11.

Cedarville's other two wins came on Friday - both meet records - by Alaina Spears in the 10,000 meters (38:08.56) and Amanda Edwards in the pole vault (10-11.75; 3.35m).

The 4 x 400 meter relay quartet was the runner-up in 3:55.13 which is the eighth-fastest time in school history. The group included Olivia Esbenshade, Sarah Hoffman, Carly Rose, and Lyndsey Smith.

Esbenshade was also the runner-up in the 800 (2:13.03) and 1,500 (4:36.0). Other second place efforts came from Nicole Perez in the 3,000 meter steeplechase (11:08.65) and Mariah Cruise in the discus (127-8; 38.92m).

Cruise's third place performance in the shot put of 40-feet even (12.19m) ranks #4 all-time at Cedarville.

Quotable: Head Coach Jeff Bolender

"I thank the Lord for two outstanding group efforts with our men's and women's teams. We were  fortunate that the weather turned out to be conducive for a good track & field.

"We had many outstanding performers, both event winners and many who scored points, with seasonal best marks. I am very proud of our team for these championships."

Next Up: May 4-5 at Toledo Invitational
