Box Score 2 CEDARVILLE, Ohio - The Lady Jackets scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth inning to beat Kentucky Wesleyan, 4-3, and complete a G-MAC twinbill sweep.
Cedarville, 23-11 overall and 12-2 G-MAC, have won seven straight including a 2-1 decision in the opener.
In the second game, the Jackets were forced to answer after giving up a run in the top of the ninth.
Danae Fields led off by hitting the first pitch she saw for a triple to left center. She scored the tying run on a sacrifice fly by
Danielle Wolgamot.
CU loaded the bases with one out on back-to-back walks and a bunt single.
Morgan Arbogast lifted a ball to right field with pinch runner
Kelsey Caldwell sprinting home with the winner on the sacrifice fly.
Jessica Steger and
Avary Humes socked RBI doubles. Freshman pitcher
Kacey Smith, 6-3, went the distance allowing three unearned runs with two strikeouts.
An unearned run in the third inning was the difference in the first game. Arbogast, 8-5, fanned four in tossing her ninth complete game of the season.
Steger singled in a run while Wolgamot contributed a single and a stolen base.
