TFRRS RESULTS
TIFFIN, Ohio -
Rachel Sweeney took first place in the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Tiffin Invitational and met the NCAA Division II provisional qualifying standard.
The senior from Xenia, Ohio was clocked in 10:56.74 which currently is the seventh-fastest mark in the country. It rates No. 8 all-time at Cedarville.
It's only the second time in Sweeney's career that she's competed in the steeple. The first time was two weeks ago at the Taylor Invitational.
Alexandra Brizzi placed third in the 100 meter dash in 12.20 seconds - No. 7 on the Lady Jacket Top 10. She was also third in the 200 in 25.70.
Alayna Ackley was second in the steeplechase with a time of 11:02.73 and
Bethany Sholl paced a strong 5K contingent finishing third in 18:14.50.
In the field events,
Sarah Himes was third in the discus posting a mark of 138-9 (42.29 meters) which is the fifth-best throw in school history.
Haleigh Eckert placed third in the pole vault by going over the bar at 11-9.75 (3.60m).
