The male SUBWAY Athlete of the Week (Jan. 17-23) is basketball player Chris Beals. The 6-0 senior guard from Columbus, Ohio, helped the Yellow Jackets post two AMC road wins last week. On Tuesday, Jan. 19, he hit all nine of his free throws and tallied 19 points to go with five steals as Cedarville defeated Mount Vernon Nazarene 75-56. Beals hit four key free throws in the final 20 seconds as CU pulled out a 74-70 win at Roberts Wesleyan on Saturday, Jan. 23.
